The first matchday is scheduled for the weekend of 29, 30 and August 31. On Friday August 29 Vitesse plays at home against FC Groninigen the first duel in the new 2008/2009 football season.
For the Jupiler League the first matchday is scheduled for Friday, August 8. On this first matchday in the Jupiler League all clubs will play their first evening match in the new 2008/2009 football season.
